> (1) the concentration of production and capital has developed to such a high stage that it has created monopolies which play a decisive role in economic life; (2) the merging of bank capital with industrial capital, and the creation, on the basis of this “finance capital,” of a financial oligarchy; (3) the export of capital as distinguished from the export of commodities acquires exceptional importance; (4) the formation of international monopolist capitalist associations which share the world among themselves and (5) the territorial division of the whole world among the biggest capitalist powers is completed. Imperialism is capitalism at that stage of development at which the dominance of monopolies and finance capital is established; in which the export of capital has acquired pronounced importance; in which the division of the world among the international trusts has begun, in which the division of all territories of the globe among the biggest capitalist powers has been completed.WWIII is beginning with the criminal assault on Iran because the current world power, the American Empire, is decaying. The American oligarchy is trying to open markets in the Middle East and pivot against China and Russia. It is historically determined by the material conditions. But the gravediggers of the capitalist system, the working class, can create an anti-war movement.

>powerful countries extract material wealth from less powerful countriesWoah....
>>18411884It's not as simple as that. Lenin's imperialism simplified is more that the powerful countries use resources from the poorest colonial countries to keep their own first world working class happy so that they don't get the idea to overthrow them. This evolved into the 'labor aristocrat' theory of Maoists.
very cool, now do this one
>>18411884You say that but the ruling classes always hide their crimes by dressing them up some empty platitudes like “fighting for freedom” or “fighting for democracy” and uneducated proles eat that right up. Speaking the truth is always necessary.
>>18412061It's crazy how total the victory of communism has been long after 1991. Now you can find Chinese peasants and liberal women in Western urban centers repeating this drivel as if it were a self-evident fact, even though it's just as false now as it was then. It's funny how the desperate attempts to make Marx's failed predictions compatible with the 20th century have more traction now than any of Marx's actual ideas.
