I wish Judaism as a religion were more popular, or at least easier to experience. I’ve been learning about it for a while now, and Jewish culture is really interesting. It just feels like it takes some effort to get into if you didn’t grow up around it.
>>18413112What resources have you been using? What have you learned? I'm not pious enough to practice meaningfully, but it remains a cherished tradition.
>>18413112I don't understand this post at all. Judaism is just autism and schizophrenia. Anyone who practices it lowers himself to a subhuman.Same goes for Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism. You have to be retarded and schizophrenic to believe that crap. Then you have to be autistic to follow the insane "rules".
>>18413112It does take some effort; my dad took classes when he was college age (he was a refugee fleeing the 1979 revolution in Iran) and my mom had to take classes at a shul in order to convert so they could marry. Wasn't that difficult. Living by the rules, or as you said, easier to experience, is really difficult. It's not even the rules themselves that are so hard (not hard to eat Kosher, not murder, not use electricity or drive on Shabbat); the hard part is that it's only realistically possible if you live in a Jewish community. Entrepreneurship and being a public school teacher are basically the only jobs you can have, since you must be home and can't drive after ~5pm on Friday nights til Saturday night, can't answer the phone either. Kosher food is easy to find but not meat, these days you can buy online (expensive) or do what we did: Drive 60 miles to a Kosher store, then fill up the freezer. Otherwise your only protein will be fish, eggs, cheese, and canned tuna. It makes it hard to have friends/gf, because you can't eat in 99.9999% of restaurants. If you go to a friend's house, you have to explain why you can't eat a hamburger (meat wasn't kosher) and even if they bought kosher meat, you can't have a cheeseburger because you can't mix meat and milk. It's not a hard life, as long as you're surrounded by other Jews. Otherwise, it's a struggle.
I like the old testamentThe usual stuff people complain about? Those are the ones I love the most; I love how brutal and violent and EPIC the whole thing isIt's pure kino, like all the old religionsbut modern jewish traditions are cringe and lame as fuck, and modern jews are not even good warriors, they just cry all day and play the victim
>>18413164>waaahhh restaurants don't have kosher options and i don't wanna eat pescatarian its like anudda shoahNigga there are way more people eating vegetarian and other diets way more restrictive than kosher and they manage just fine
>>18413168Name one vegetarian or vegan that you respect. I'll wait. inb4 hitler.
>>18413112I like that it takes a lot of effort to convert to Judaism unlike Christianity and Islam. They actually make sure you thoroughly understand Judaism before you can convert, even testing you on your knowledge, motives, and commitment before a council. So many converts to Christianity and Islam are laughably ignorant on the most basic things regarding the religion they chose to join.
>>18413175What the fuck are you talking about? I was only making a point that there's tons of vegetarians etc. with more difficult diets than kosher, and they don't generally act like they're being persecuted because the world doesn't cater to their specific needs.
>>18413181There's this idea that sacraments are a "medicine for the sick", and Christianity sure does attract many disturbed losers (say Christ Is Kink!)
>>18413112That's because they're an ethno-religious group. It's not like other religions where you can easily convert. You'll always be an outsider even if they allow you in. Jews are obsessed with lineages and shit.
