A fair reminder to nordicists ans germanic narcissists : There was factually next to nothing Germanic about the Spanish Habsburg. Not genetically but not even culturally as beyond Charles V they did not even speak German, and Charles V disregarded the language as inferior to latin ones.

Beside, they all descend from their Alemannic/Swabian landowner forefathers in Switzerland. For me, to "belong" is to be able to directly track down your ancestry, and the Habsburgs can certainly trace down their ancestry to the Greater Germanic area first and foremost.
