All current Good nations are weak and conquered, whereas Evil nations all either died on their feet, or are still in power and subjugating the Good.When you view it through these lens, it becomes indicative that it's paradoxically a moral good to be Evil. Doing nothing and submitting your people to foreign occupation is a horrible thing to do; enslaving and exploiting other populations to feed, house, and keep safe your own people fulfills the fatherly duty to protect one's family. It was that one subset of the bad guys chose to weaponize optics or the way that they portray themselves and use good qualities for ultimately bad purposes, that the people who would inevitably come up and call them out on their actions despite all seen evidence to the contrary would make them look like the bad guy.
