I'm not Catholic myself, but I recommend embracing the anti-war teachings of the contemporary Vatican. I grew up a conservative Christian, but I believe embracing conservative nonresistance has lead me to true salvation. Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6 may be the best passages for how to live a daily Christian life. And above all, keep reading Scripture. It's the divinely-inspired Word of God and we're blessed enough to have both literacy and easy access to it. I feel like I often take it for granted myself. Most devout Christians throughout history would probably think us foolish for not reading Scripture more considering how easy it is for us. I like the contemporary Roman Catholic Church a lot, moreso than most Protestant groups, but if you ever feel like you want to try another way to be a conservative without being a chud, I'd recommend a plain Anabaptist church:https://churchindex.orgTheir levels of strictness vary, but they're all conservative and nonresistant.
