yeah so he has this book hunter that's about a white supremacist serial killer who is caught by this fbi agent and is trapped in a bind and has to do his deeds, essentially. in 1984, a couple of years before the book was published, there was a huge mass arrest of a bunch of far right leaders (like guys from the order and stuff) for orchestrating bank robberies. pierce was one of the top names who was investigated heavily, but was never imprisoned or put to trial.

seems like he turned state's evidence somewhat and was being monitored since the govt very obviously had dirt on him for encouraging these attacks. the novel hunter has the killer main character eventually kill his handler so likely one of pierce's fantasies

In his turner diaries he has this odd scene were some teenagers jump a fence two white girls and two blacks,the mc and his friend shoot all of them but what struck me was not how the scene was pointless there is lots of pointless murder in that book,its that the shooting of the blacks is just mentioned,but the shooting of the white girls is a detailed description followed by the mc gf (the blandest romance ever put to paper) reasuring the mc that killing then was ok to kill those teenagers what were they doing with the blacks anyway.
In general that book has odd choices were violence is described in great detail but romance feels like it was censored as if several pages are missing.
