Is Judas in heaven or he'll? I know Jesus says it would have been better if he was never born, and the gospels say he was possessed by the Devil. But he was genuinely remorseful for having betrayed Jesus. He does commit suicide, which is a mortal sin in traditional Christianity, but according to Josephus sometimes suicidal can be noble like in the case of the suicides of Massada during the Jewish-Roman war. Ahitophel killed himself after betraying King David and he is honored in Judaism. His suicide is seen as a sign of repentance. Maybe Judas's suicide is an exception of genuine repentance on his part? Wouldn't it be unfair for God to damn him? He was just an instrument for God to redeem humanity anyway...

But he's not in hell though. Judas is saved.

Judas was Jesus' friend, so he is fine. Your distorted perception makes you believe Judas fucked up, and this same distorted perception tells you that Jesus was crucified. A man that only helped people was crucified for doing God, like if God didn't exist. Of course this is absurd and not true.

Don't let your ego play tricks on you.

No one is in heaven or Hell at the moment, all of the dead are just dead and unconscious in Sheol.

Judas is in Hell. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. Jesus is part of the Trinity Godhead that includes the Father and The Holy Spirit.

Thats up for debate.
The majority opinion is that he did not blaspheme the Holy Spirit.

Why do Calvinists have such a presence on this history board - on this website - of all places? And what do you get out of routinely using images of your idol?

You reverence that one portrait of Calvin more often than Hindus do Genesha.

Predeterminism is demoralizing by nature. I dont think that they are true calvinists. I think that they are anti christian operatives that are trying to push believers away from the idea of agency, by propagating calvinist ideas in the faith.

When a man simply sees that his sins are wrong and bad and terrible, and he tries to straighten things out himself like judas by going to a priest (religion) or committing suicide, that is worldly sorrow, not genuine repentance. When a man sees his sins are against God and His divine justice and holiness, then he starts waking up and flees to God alone for his help. Repentance is turning to God.

Repentance before salvation is a turning from a state of being. Before salvation you are a sinner under the wrath of God. At salvation you turn from that state of sin to receive Jesus Christ and become a son of God.
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me" (Acts 26:18).

Salvation is by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8-9, given by God, Romans 10:8 & 17) only in the one, final, effectual sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ (Heb. 10:8-12) dying in your place (1 Cor. 15:3-4) as a substitutionary offering for sin (Rom. 5:1-10). His blood atonement made for you is finished, so if you have received the Lord Jesus by faith (John 1:12) in your heart, you're forgiven of all your sins and are saved, once for all; finally and forever! (Rom. 8:38-39, Romans 4:5)

The gift of salvation can't be earned, it's a gift: Eph. 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Rom. 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Confess The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in prayer, that you trust in Him, not your own works. He atoned for your sins on the cross.

>Maybe Judas's suicide is an exception of genuine repentance on his part?

A lost man can confess his sins to God, or even to Jesus Christ, all he wants, and he will go to Hell. Judas did (Matt. 27:3-5). Balaam did (Num. 22:34). Pharaoh did (Exod. 10:16-17). Everyone of them confessed that he was a sinner and confessed his sin, and everyone of them ended up in Hell after he did it. Confession of sins isn't salvation.

After salvation, you turn from your sin to the service of Jesus Christ (Eph. 4:25-32). But having sinned, you have also broken your fellowship with God. To restore that fellowship you must go to the Lord and tell Him exactly what you have done that was wrong, the individual acts. So you are not repenting of being in sin, because no saved person lives in sin, (Rom. 8:8, Gal. 2:20); a saved person lives in Christ. You are repenting of committing sin, and to do that you must confess it. So 1 John 1:9 has nothing to do with salvation at all, and to use it to get a sinner to repent will only confuse him when he gets saved and finds out that he still must confess his sins.

>Wouldn't it be unfair for God to damn him? He was just an instrument for God to redeem humanity anyway...
So if Jesus was sold out by Jeffrey Epstein, that would make Jeffrey innocent of the horrible things he did? That doesn't make sense.

Suicide is not turning to God, suicide is rejecting what God says and instead doing what you want to do.
