This. Quranism is probably the only coherent version of textual Islam. If you want something more akin to early Islam your choice is between Sufism if you're Sunni or Ismailis if you're Shia.

I wasn't implying Quranism is correct when I said Salafis follow the hadith over the Quran. I was referring more to the fact that their belief system places the highest level of importance on the early Muslims known as the "salaf", and they thus prioritize their hadiths and their veneration over everything else.
