The French and the Labour party tried, even Italian fascists hated Hitler at first even though they were fascist thugs themselves, but the Tory party was too cowardly and engaged in appeasement if not outright sympathetic to Hitler, giving him years to take other countries and militarize Germany to the teeth. If the Conservatives in Britain weren't idiots and put their foot down years earlier, WW2 would have just been a failed invasion of Czechoslovakia that got immediately quashed by a Franco-British invasion of the Rhineland that probably would have ended in the assassination of Hitler by the Prussian officer class and the immediate deposition of the Nazi government.

Not even the 'antifa' KPD was as proactive to take a stance against them, and I say that as a communist. There were multiple instances where Hitler's rise couldve been cut short by the Weimar government. His trial after beer hall putsch couldve ended in death for treason, but alas the courts were filled with reactionaries who gave him a light sentence. He couldve also been deported to Austria, but the reactionary court wouldnt let that happen. His paramilitary also couldve been banned, but the reactionary police and courts again would not allow it. It was the reactionary institutional rot that enabled Hitler's rise ultimately. Friedrich Ebert, despite wielding presidential powers and occasionally invoking emergency powers, was too afraid to get rid of reactionary sycophants in the court, police, or military at the fear of being couped despite the failure of Kapp Putsch proving the people would be on his side. He wasted all that good will with the people on appeasing the conservatives in suppressing workers strikes, this good will generated nothing as the conservatives did not care for the republic and still wished for its destruction. Ebert thought the conservatives could be reasoned with, he thought the parliamentary process would persevere overall. And when social democratic leadership was consistently taught that it didnt work, they could not possibly step back from it, they became weak. That's were cowardice got the social democrats.
