SDA here. I warned you guys at Christmas, I guess I'll have to warn you guys again at Easter. Easter is a pagan holiday. It's not Christian. It was the Roman Emperor Constantine who changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, "the day of the Sun", for his patron deity Sol, and he merged Sol with Jesus. This started a hybrid Christian-Pagan religion, the Roman Catholic Church, at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. A little while later, Western European Roman Catholics adopted the Anglo-Saxon festival of Ostara "Easter", dedicated to the Germanic deity Eostre, and merged it with Roman Catholicism. You are in direct violation of the Sabbath, which God commanded us to keep in the ten commandments, if you have anything to do with Sunday or Easter Sunday worship. You are basically worshiping the pagan gods Sol and Eostre today by celebrating it and you need to repent and turn to Christ.
K, I'll celebrate Pascha instead.
>>18419748>SDAhonestly kinda outdated these days, the hebrew roots guys put you to shame.
>>18419793But you profane the Passover by mixing it with pagan customs. Jesus only told us to memorialize his death (which took place on a Thursday btw, he did not command us to start worshiping Sol or Eostre. >>18419841I don't really care about those heathens since the Seventh-day Adventist Church is the one true remnant Church described in Revelation 12:17, and we confess this fact in our baptisms, and indeed this has been confirmed through the prophecies of Ellen G. White. We actually keep the ten commandments unlike the apostate churches, who bend the knee to the papacy, the seat of the future antichrist.
>>18419889The SDA church was initially binitarian, the current church has fallen.
>>18419956That is unequivocally false. The prophet Ellen G. White taught about it:>"There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will cooperate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ." -- Ellen G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7 (1906), p. 63We believe in the full deity of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, their equality, and eternity, with the Father. What Adventists have historically rejected is the Roman Catholic creedal Trinity of the apostate Council of Nicaea. Our belief in one God who exist in three distinct persons is rooted in the Bible, not in the Council of Nicaea or Roman Catholic theology. We avoid using terms like "consubstantiality" or what not because they are non-scriptural and mix Christian doctrine with pagan Greek philosophy. We simply assert that there is one God in three persons or three beings or three powers, and that is all. We do not rigidly define what this means apart from what is communicated to us in the 66 books of the Holy Bible.
>>18419748Fuck your retarded 7 day weeks. We should use 6 day weeks>6 days per week>5 weeks per month>3 months per quarter>summer/winter solstice and spring/autumn equinox, new year's day, leap year day as holidays that exist outside of the regular calendarTracks nicely with the solar year and the lunar month
>>18420614>tracks nicely with the solar year and lunar monthYou'd be 5 days behind the solar year and 6 days ahead of the lunar year...
