Christianity and the pre Christian Abrahamic religion that Christianity derives from have no major or minor discrepancies. The Old and New Testament made thousands of years apart have no conflicting issues. They are a work in congrous harmony. One tells of the other and the later fulfills the goals and objectives of the former.
Other religious doctrine do not have that. The Bible is unique in that it is the only religious doctrine not made to acquire more land. In fact, it basically states to abstain from the earthly desires of the flesh. For the kingdom of God is not on this earth.
