Hitlers secretary described it as shocking when she saw Hitler finally kiss eva and it was only at this last minute that she had to convince him to marry her why would he keep her at such a distance, and simultaneously as his whore mistress no less? why couldnt he just marry her and have a normal non-degenerate relationship with her?
the only thing i can think of is that he kept her at a distance in the public eye because they weren't married and it would be super jarring and people would immediately question why Hitler was engaging in degenerate sexual practices outside of marriage with his whore mistress,while preaching strict moral superiority and lording it over everyone
