State-lead capitalism. It's the same as China is doing : you keep profits incentives but you let the collective decide where to invest (the state)

A real blackpill is that there are dozens of Junko Furuta or Genie-tier cases all over the world at any time that no one knows about because the culprits are really good at opsec. Same with neglect

Look at your own risk, it's a database of unidentified victims. Extremely morbid but fascinating

Let her rest and move on.

It's called a bubble for a reason, they were actually successful in the 70's. Unlike other US vassals the US built up Japan and Germany's manufacturing.
>>
They got to rebuild from scratch after the war (see modern China for how much construction can fuel your economy). They were the OG "let's just rip off the West and sell it cheaper" economy. Military protection from the US, so they didn't have to worry about spending on that. It helped that all their neighbours were either self-destructive Communist regimes or similarly dumb military dictatorships so they had little regional economic competition. Massive and increasingly rich internal market (almost 120 million compared to West Germany's 60 million, UK and France's 55-ish million). Big economies of scale. Shady business practices they got away with because "so sorry, no speak Engrish". Some legit good innovation. Many reasons.

The US didn't really have to build it up, it already existed and the US simply allowed it to start flourishing again while the Brits and French (and to an extent, Americans as well) got too fat and comfy so they stagnated while the Japs were finding every niche they could to get an advantage and innovated to survive.

They make my modernist hyper-capitalist slop look kino, both futuristic but also aged-futuristic, like trading on Polymarket while tuning into a shortwave radio at the same time, listening to the static still coming through the radio.

Commie cope. In reality the US saw the rise of Japan's economy as a threat to their position as the world's top economic power, this is why the Americans screwed Japan over with the Plaza Accords.
