Can someone refute my logic? I would like to believe that consciousness is something above biology so please do so.
1. Imagine a simple robot whose circuits are easy to understand.
2. Think of it being programmed to like, "see red = danger, turn away". "see green = fuel, turn towards" etc.
3. Then, program it to be able to view, and fix its own circuitry, its logic gates, its "simple brain" basically.
4. Think of this as using a generative AI chatbot or something.
5. So, this program is aware of its own thought process; it is self-aware, is it not?

What's to say that our consciousness is not just that?
The ability to perceive yourself, to "think", how can you define that as anything different?
>>
Nothing you said solves or describes consciousness. You can describe perfectly how a brain works but you can't really explain why consciousness or self-awareness emerges from it.
>>
I asked Claunde and he says you're retarded.

>but you can't really explain
Explain what you mean by "really explain" and show why I can't do that.

>our minds are biological computers
true
>this makes me self-aware
How? Are computers self-aware? If they aren't, then how complex do they need to be in order to be self-aware? What actually is self-awareness? Your model doesn't really do a good job at explaining this

>Clowned
freudian slip?

Needs refinement, read Douglas Hofstradr for reference.

Consciousness is easy to solve. All of you guys are tards and none of you will ever attain sentience. God is a faggot and created you for feces.
>>

>emerges
Emergentism is illusory.

It appears emergent because empirical study is limited in its ability to penetrate to the depths required to understand what's actually going on.

Read Kastrup. The old paradigm of materialism and rationalism is obsolete.
>>
>consciousness is something above biology
The fact humans can fix themselves and go to the moon doesnt mean that consciousness isnt biological.
Everything that happens in our brains is biological, or a product of matter.

There's very interesting reasons why materialism is retarded. For example the brain renews its proteins every few days. This means if materialism was correct you would be constantly dying and are a murderer.
So all of you guys are tards and none of you are sentient. And you should all be killed. This the only conclusion consciousness research can arrive at.

Problem with 3. How do you even do that? There's no actual way to know if the program is self aware. Much like with other people, but they behave in ways similar to your own.
Your wording needs refinement. Robots are man-made, so their programs are understandable to those who program them. Second, your shit doesn't even need to be a robot, unless you want it to reroute the logic circuits that rule its movement. The moment it disconnects something fundamental to its motion it stops. Not quite sure about AI, but I doubt it can change its programming to a fundamental level.

>fix themselves
Each other. Important distinction.
>>
>>18425515
Sounds like Functionalism. Which is not the answer.
>>

>you would be constantly dying
Literally true.
