So, this program is aware of its own thought process; it is self-aware, is it not?What's to say that our consciousness is not just that?The ability to perceive yourself, to "think", how can you define that as anything different?
Nothing you said solves or describes consciousness. You can describe perfectly how a brain works but you can't really explain why consciousness or self-awareness emerges from it.
