Was it and will be the main arc of human history? It was a war at the biggest scale so far and the accumulation of thousands of years ethnic tension and schizo divine prophecy leading to the current world order of today. A pandora’s box was opened when we figured out how to use atoms as weapons. I believe it’s when we first became a hyper intelligent species and more than just apes.
>>18426597It was the main arc of the 20th century. It became irrelevant when the Soviet Union Collapsed in the early 90s
>>18426597>Was it and will be the main arc of human history? No.>It was a war at the biggest scale so farThat's debatable. It was the biggest war so far by raw numbers, but mostly because when it took place, the population of the countries involved was larger than ever. There were wars before where much larger percentages of populations fought and died. The war's geographic scale was also due to it happening in a very specific time in history. Technology already allowed armies to move very fast, and nation states and societies were not as resilient of conquests as they later became. This allowed the Nazis to take over countries in the matter of days, then the Soviets sweeping back could do the same. This cannot be done today. Just look at recent wars, the last time a country got occupied was Iraq, which had a very unpopular government, and even then, the occupation faced a brutal insurgency. Same thing in Afghanistan, and the insurgents won. And that's when the US, the world's strongest military tried to conquer countries. When Putin also tried it, he couldn't even achieve a 5th of his occupation goal. The only recent, successful war of conquests was Nagorno-Karabakh, which was just a border conflict against a tiny, internationally unrecognized exclave. The truth is, the West has PTSD from WW2 and has a tendency to see everything through a WW2 lense. But in reality, WW2 took place in a unique place and time and its experiences are not some universial lessons. Political violence happening doesn't mean that the country is literally becoming Weimar Germany, WW2-style military invasions are no longer feasable because modern nations are op in defense etc.

>>18426647Second fronts (beginning in 1943 Italy) and forcing the Luftwaffe to fight on three fronts was more important than Lend-Lease. That's why.Lend-Lease is what the naziboos are overly occupied with as it let the SOVIETS (oh horror!!) wipe them out without survivors kek.But yep, the world-changing event was the Great War, not the second one.
>>18426597It's the most relevant war because it involved everything that is also relevant today>racism>communism>nukes and rapid tech development>JewsThe only thing missing are incels, whores, feminists and other gender struggle archetypes
>>18426892>communism >relevant today
>>18426901Uh, yes?
>>18426906not communism not even in WW2 Marxist - leninist meaning
>>18426910When I go on X all I see are fascists and communists>communism is gaining popularity in the West >biggest superpower atm is nominally communist (China)>another nominally communist power is growing more powerful (NK)
>>18426597>Was WW2, and will be the main arc of human history? No, WWIII will be. Nost predicted it will be the biggest and the worst conflict in human history.
>>18426859So opening up the Ital front left the Germans weak enough for the Soviets to prevail in 1943+? Maybe they were primed for victory by 1941 after defending Moscow.
>>18426906now THAT will get the workers a big raise. It's over for capitalists.
>>18426913>When I go on X all I see are fascists and communistsStop reading paid bullshit made by South and Southeast Asians
>>18426922germans never were strong enough to fully conquer soviets as they envisioned but without L-L and having to keep their forces in france and balkans, the soviets wouldn't be able to retake their country too, red army was experiencing a serious manpower issues by the 1943 the actual oppening of italy front didn't really do that much, it only eat about 20 german divisions, for a comparison, there were about 35 divisions stationing idle in france in this year and around 170 german divisions were fighting on the eastern front
>>18426922Defending Moscow let them survive, Lend-Lease let them crash the Germans. At a huge human cost mind you (which they Western powers - somewhat understandably - transferred to the Russians).
>>18426647WW2 is important mainly because it ended US isolationism for good, and triggered the cold war. It led to the US extending militarily and economically all over the world, which remains the main driving force of geopolitics to this day.Apart from that, WW2 only accelerated the trends WW1 already started. The European powers were already going to lose their world power status after WW1, decolonization was going to happen anyways etc.The order of importance (as in relevance for today) of wars is ww1>cold war>ww2
>>18426597Dude, it's all just eternal naziboo seething, thats it.
>>18426985>US isolationismit was never a thing really
>>18426918Given the amount of weapons there is nowadays, it makes sense.
>>18426913The only fascists still left in the modern world are the Han Chinese. Any western faggot with internet access who calls himself a fascist or a communist is as serious as a papercut.
>>18426597The video games will continue to hit.
>>18426985Ah yes US isolationism, that period in 20th century where US imperialism was directly expressed through the Roosevelt corollary that created the banana republics that still define central america and the caribbean to this day, very isolated and inward focused.
