>>18428902The music in the 70s was good though unlike now.
70s took the hippies utopian hedonism and dropped the politics and kept the hedonism, Retrospectively there was an explosion of music genres in the 70s, funk, soul, disco, rap, metal, punk, glam.it was then of the post war boom, the economy was shit, oil shock, politics was chaotic, nixon is pushed out for ford then for carter.Crime was a big deal, lots of it bleeds it lead television.all in all it was kind of a shitty decade that ends with carters malaise speech and johnny rotten shouting NOOOOOOOOOO FUTUREEEEEthen regan came in, we got more positive, defeated the soviet union and up to 9/11 things seemed like the end of history
>>18428816White neighborhoods were ethnically cleansed, white kids were forced to go to integrated schools with violent little monsters, the west betrayed Rhodesia, second-wave feminism started having legislative impact e.g no-fault divorce, leftist terrorism was rampant, counter-culture was still publically unpopular but was supported by the courts academia and the media.
I'm pretty sure if you include films from that era and any movies that take place in the past made in subsequent eras the 70's might be the most covered decade of all.
Busted economy, Sexual Revolution, urban decay, high crime, biker gangs, drugs, serial killers, awful cars, etc.
>>18428962Forgot I wasnt on /tv/ but nonetheless I looked it up.If you take war movies out of the picture the 1960's is the decade most represented in film followed by the 70's.If you include War Films the 40's is most represented for obvious reasons.
>>18428967Wasn't stagflation caused by the oil crisis?

Why did they need to bus in black kids to white schools? If it was for the black kids to get a better education then why not just improve black schools?
>>18430502On the surface it's because they wanted to look after the current black kids while black schools are being improved. In reality it's because everyone in the back of their mind is aware that a "good black school" is an oxymoron.
>>18428836>wypipo be likei find it weird how lot of the famous space stuff in media was made after the actual space age was basically over
