Austria-Hungary had no flag. It is amusing seeing the wikipedia page changing all the time over it. Actually, most states didn't really have a flag. We just use the nautical or military ones.

The Five Color flag is actually the oldest flag-type in Chinese history. It wasn't a national flag at the start thoughalbeit but a war flag, symbolizing the Five Elements that corresponded militarily with the so-called "Five Military Virtues" (Courage, Swiftness, Steadfastness, Resolve, and Discipline). Chinese armies were often divided in 5 corresponding divisions, each assigend an element, with the commanding General flying the 5 colored flag.
