What is your solution to existentialism based on everything you've read? How do you yourself perceive existentialism?
>>18434444I simply don't think about it.
>>18434444Existence is not absurd and life has meaning. The meaning of your life is inscrutable, but your very act of living is its fulfillment.
>>18434444Follow your Dao and commit to effortless action and stressless living. Stop worrying about things you can’t control like death, life, love, other peoples thoughts and simply live a virtuous life.

Why do you keep posting that stupid manga character?
>>18434444I believe you posted this same gentleman in /sci/ about a week ago.
>>18434683>>18434444existentialism and realism/objectivism (nothing to do with Ayn Rand's brand of capital O objectivism, which is just repackaged Aristotle + Locke) are not a dichotomy

Solution?Existentialism doesn't really pose any coherent problem. It simply rejects objective truth and the cosmic telos, and says you must therefore live in a way that creates meaning for you.As an atomized individual, rather than being part of an organismic whole.I've never really understood the appeal.People who think about this long enough end up rejecting the premise that you can even create meaning for yourself at all, and that is the intellectually honest position to take. Thankfully, that final position in which absolutely everything is completely dissolved into meaninglessness and even the individual vanishes into the void, is simply not true.Truth is real, life itself has meaning beyond what you decide to make of your own particular life.Things have purpose not because we designed them, but because purpose itself is real. And as a real thing, it is contiguous with reality itself. The fact we can design things at all proves that design is part of the reality we find ourselves in, and it's one we clearly had very little to do with making. Only the very limited circumstances within our power to change can we claim to have established.
