If you were in jail in the middle of a desert, and you had the option to leave, would you?
no, that's why they tend to be built in remote areas with maybe only a small town nearby for supplies and a workforcethe best walls to keep people confined somewhere are a rough terrain/climate
Why am I in there? What did I do?
>>18434912Everything you ever felt like doing
Yes I would, I would unironically rather die of thirst in a desert than be stripped of my privacy and agency in a prison.
>>18434892They already did that with German soldiersUSA sent them over to Texas where they had a completely open prison. They leave whenever they want, and they can't go anywhere but back to their cells WHe
>>18434907>the best walls to keep people confined somewhere are a rough terrain/climateThat's not true because otherwise you wouldn't need actual walls>>18434973> they had a completely open prison. There is no evidence for this. Reportedly, German POWs in Texas were actually treated fairly well and were mostly used as free labor for various public works projects so if anything that's probably the reason few if any wanted to escape.
