What was stopping them from establishing some sort of civilization, and how powerful would they be/have been in the case that they managed to do so? West-Africa has an agricultural history maybe half that of New Guineas, yet the area was vastly more advanced and largely by virtue of indigenous efforts. Abbos had proto-writing and a shit ton of iron present, which would've been pretty useful if they also had agriculture.
>>18439859I don't think you know what civilization means? Also what's with /his/ obsession over West Africans?
>>18439879> I don't think you know what civilization means? What gives you that impression? As far as I'm aware, the things that are often used to delineate them from other societies were very much present in West-Africa yet absent in the other mentioned regions.> Also what's with /his/ obsession over West Africans? They're just interesting.
I remember reading they had a massive tree they would have tribal meetings at. The tree was on neutral ground and all the tribes of the surrounding area were invited to partake.
>>18439859>if they also had agriculture.Abbos had agriculture.
>>18439899Not really; they would manipulate flora via fire and whatnot to ensure they had a steady supply of food, but they were very much still hunter-gatherers, not actualy taking care of the land. They probably would've started farming on their own if given a few more thousand years.

>>18439901>>18439899Just imagine ancient Egyptian or Sea People landed in Australia?
>>18439859>What was stopping them from establishing some sort of civilizationThe fact that they're literally Homo Erectus.
>>18440236I'm pretty sure Indonesians actually had contact with abbos before Europeans did; they even intermarried and took a few back with them! Pushing such interactions back could do wonders.
>>18439859New Guinea is a center of agriculture, especially sugarcane going back as far as 6000 BC. For all those millenia, hunter-gatherers and neolithic farmers were slowly progressing there, competing and developing and we know almost nothing about it. The world was vast, varied and magical before it was plundered by industry.
>>18440267> Homo Sapiens NeanderthalensisGarbage. Weak bait, though I will mention that Australo-Melanesians almost certainly do have some Erectus admixture, but it's definitely no more than 2%.
>>18440281Early Neanderthals were more primitive while later Neanderthals who had interbreed with humans were more advanced.Abos are literal cavemen.
>>18439859>What was stopping them from establishing some sort of civilizationbeing the wrong species
>>18440294The "later Neanderthals" you speak of were almost certainly majority Sapien.
>>18440054>>18440045>>18440050>>18440051she looks literally normal. /pol/ has been psyopping us with pictures of their elderly and obese people to make us think they're not human
>>18439859they would’ve got wiped by all of western Polynesia if they ever had a chance to create a naval fleet
>>18440045They look Indian, kinda. I wonder if some of them have any blood relation with SEA
>>18439859I was just thinking about how cool it would have been if Indonesians created city states in Northern Australia. Makassars did sail in the area iircAlso Dravidians are related to Abos, Melanesians, and Negritos, they're all from one of the first out of africa migrations. They diverged significantly obviously.
>>18440608Nah her face is pretty fucked up but I'd still fuck her. I have outback fever
>>18440854I believe North Abbos interbred a bit with Indonesians.
