Burying seeds on the ground to see it grow is something every cavemen knew how to do, it's domestication techniques of specific crops over many generations of selective breeding is what we call "agriculture". Domestication takes centuries to achieve and each crop requires an specific technique, so you can't just "teach" agricultural methods to a certain group of people without their specific crops so they could replicate centuries later with completely different techniques.
