Orthobros is this true??https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/12/opinion/jesus-christianity-atheism.html
>>18445132From skimming his Wikipedia article he seems to just be a perennialist who's a member of the Orthodox church. He joined when he was 20 and he's 60 now, seems his religious ideas evolved and he just never left. I'm guessing he still considers Orthodoxy to be the "most correct" religion. Which is fair, if you're a perennialist you should have a religious tradition that you consider the closest to being right or are at least are more partial to than the others.
>>18445132It's only the live streamers who want to claim that they follow all of the church tradition, even if they don't actually know what the tradition is.Christcuckery, regardless of denomination, will always be a CYOA.
>>18445132Unironically the most honest way to follow a religion. Is there really any merit in accepting religious dogma on authority? Better just to admit you don't know or that you disagree. Do you really think God gives a fuck whether or not you affirm something you don't understand because somebody told you to?>picrel
>>18445132Funny thing I was researching apokatastasis just the other day. Dr. Hart follows that. I read up on an article about an important saint who believed that. But it is very uncommonly held and always retorted as general doctrine. There is definitely a strain of westerner orthodox who believe it. I think the doctorine seems unintelligible in this prosperous society of ours.
Deep inside most tradlarpers are just evangelicals who want extra aesthetics.
