He's a morally gray and has his own personal values that don't necessarily match our own. To him we're just dolls in some giant doll house. To get to heaven is just to serve him in his kingdom for all eternity. God isn't outright evil either though, Hell probably doesn't exist, if you don't want to serve him in his kingdom then your soul is probably just extinguished.
