It ensures that the gennetos of the Son and the ekporeuesthai of the Holy Spirit are not comparable to the oikodomesis of the world. Together with the Father, the Son and the Spirit are eternal, incorruptible, impassible, neither subject to change or decay, and they are pure spirit. But the kosmos is contingent, corruptible, alterable, in a perpetual cycle of process, and made out of matter or physical stuff.
