Why isn't relying on the Bible as the undisputed authority, word of God not blind faith?
>>
I. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS «BLIND FAITH»; FAITH IS RATIONAL AND REASONED.

II. A BOOK, OR A COMPENDIVM OF BOOKS, CANNOT BE AN AUTHORITY; ONLY PERSONS CAN BE AUTHORITIES, NOT INANIMATE OBJECTS; THE HOLY BIBLE IS NOT AN AUTHORITY; IT IS ONE OF THE THREE PILLARS OF THE DOCTRINE, THE OTHER TWO BEING THE MAGISTERIVM, AND THE TRADITION.

How do you know this?

Because refusing to admit that the Bible isn't from God is not sensible at all.

The Bible is unlike all other ‘sacred books’ in that it bases its ‘authenticity’ and ‘authority’ on prophecy. The Bible does not fail to predict histories that deal with weather conditions, nations, military engagements, alliances, religions, apostasy, churches, and individuals, anywhere from 10-2000 years ahead of time.

Whoever wrote the Bible still had to know more than 500 details about what would take place anywhere from 100 to 3,000 years before it took place. Obviously God exists, denying that is unreasonable, but the reason we know the Bible is from God is by simply looking at it and realizing it's impossible for it to not be the work of God. Confirmed by prophecy, attested by God through miracles, and risen from the dead to glory, there is no one we ought to trust more than Jesus as to who God is.

Take a look at some of these patterns in the Bible, at some point you have to admit the this isn't coincidence or something intended by the translators/scribes. This is clearly God showing us that the Bible is true.

Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. He died on the cross as a sinless sacrifice for all the sins of the whole world (1 Cor. 15:3-4, Heb. 10:8-12) to save you from eternal hell, the punishment for your sins. He was buried, then rose again from the dead. One day you will stand before Him, and He will judge you. You can either repent to God by receiving Him and be saved, or reject Him and go to hell for your sins.

The gift of salvation can't be earned, it's a gift: Eph. 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Someone somewhere thought this was a good argument.

You do know other religions also claim their scriptures are holy right.

Christianity produced societies ruled by the Epstein class.

Because you have to be blind to call it blind faith but you're also deaf and dead.

The Bible is a history book, verified by those who saw the events unfold. The Koran is not that way. It is an illiterate, epileptic egomaniac in a cave listening to an unclean spirit describe supposedly historic events from over 4,000 years before Mohammed was born. On top of that, there is not one shred of evidence that anything the Koran describes in history is true, unless it was stolen from the Bible.

Every time an unsaved historian casts doubt on the Bible, an unsaved archaeologist digs up the evidence that shows the Bible was telling the truth all of the time. Two-thirds of the Scriptures are prophetic, either in type, symbol, or direct statement; and more than one-half of the OT prophecies, and nearly all of the NT, points to events that are future. This is what makes the Bible different from every other Book in the world.

Did God give us the Bible for us to read or not? If He did, any man could find out where he came from, what he should do while he is here, what he shouldn't do (or say), how he should prepare for the future, and what his future would be; for as surely as sunrise follows sunset, if any REAL "God" wrote that Book He would be able to tell you and me all of that and more too

If He didn't, then whoever wrote that Book still had to know more than 500 details about what would take place anywhere from 100 to 3,000 years before it took place. Who would that be if not God?
