I need your help. These days I was reading about the reasons why world war I and so many brutal conflicts and one theory is that there was no more countries or places to discover so instead of exploring and conquering places people decided to fightt each other

What is the name of this theory and does it make sense?
I personally think as long as there are not outside forces boosting hatred in each other and giving money to people without morals kill each other there is no war, but that is a simplistic view

Humans are violent, and will always be, likely to destroy themselves again via nuclear weapons or biological agents (intention or accidently). Civilizations have been destroyed many many times and will continue to be destroyed. I am surprised we have gotten this far this time, but it will not last. Enjoy the ride.

>the reasons why world war I and so many brutal conflicts and one theory
What is missing in the middle of that sentence?
Does the question imply there is more war than before or more brutal war or what?
Because "conquering places" also has "people fighting each other", so I assume the people you mean are... western powers? great powers?

Damn Anon, I'm an ESL myself but you should work on your grammar and syntax.
>and does it make sense?
It's bullshit. Even at the height of colonial exploration and conquests during the 17th and 18th centuries were the greater colonial powers of Europe constantly at each others throats despite having this supposed outlet for their ambitions. In addition to that those greater colonial powers were also always involved in non-colonial wars in Europe too.
