Whats going on with these two?Why does these two exist?Literally no mention of them in the history books.Their identities just kinda 'emerged' out of nowhere in a very small geographical area.There is nothing 'distinct' about them like there is with Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Greece etc.Both of their country names simply just means "land of the slavs", as if there arent already plenty of slavic nations?Please dont give me a fucking chatgpt response. i could have asked that myself and I didnt ask here to get that.

Slovenia had a early medieval northern Principality called Carantania and a southern sister one called Carniola, one or both of these are mentioned in the Divine Comedy and other medieval writings.Not sure about Slovakia, prob also some Slavic principality that got sucked into Hungaristan.
