For the fairfax plant, they did do layoffs and have decided to reduce runs and outsource production, and this is the GM plant that produces profit since in 1963 when they set up their accounting they removed COGS from this plant. GM profit margin has been declining rapidly and loss of output at this plant is significant to that.
You can see right after I made that post profit at GM entered rapid decline. It went from 6% in mid 2024 to late 2025 1.7%. This points to around August losses.
