There does not exist a SINGLE (1) account of a Christian believing in evolution before Darwin, nor any Christian believing the bible teaches anything remotely related to evolution before Darwin
Christian communities denied the theory of evolution since its inception because it clearly doesn't align with what their book says
Christians claiming that the bible doesn't contradict evolution is the biggest cope in the world

god created the little tiny amoebas in the primordial soup and then just let things happen

There isn't a single account of anyone believing in evolution before darwin you turbonigger.
>>
>>18452388
which verse is that?
>>18452393
yes, because there was never a holy book given to us by a god, the bible doesn't even mention anything consistent with evolution because it was made by pre-Darwin jews
>>
>>18452396
The Bible isn't a science textbook so maybe that's why.

Abiogenesis is made up.

it's not false because it fails to tell us about cells or mutations or DNA, it's false because genesis clearly contradicts evolution. if you know about evolution and are trying to explain how humans originated, that's a pretty important thing to leave out, and yet the bible isn't even compatible with it

Genesis tells two completely different creation stories so it's almost as if it's an allegory.
>>
>>18452422
allegory for what exactly?

I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful

Humans choosing their own fate, unlike animals that live based on instinct.
>>
>>18452446
falling to desire is still fundamentally instinctual, just because there's more thought doesn't make it not instincts
also, that only explains the adam and eve eating the apple, what about the rest of genesis that tries to explain the origin of man and the world?

Genesis describes how the natural selector makes selections.

In the beginning, everything is formless and void. Its not nothing, there is a medium there, its just chaos.

Then the natural selector "sees" something "good", and selects it. That is the first event.

The natural selector creates order through a process that is described as dividing waters, separating wheat from chaff, cutting branches. This means its not selecting from some kind of void. Its making selections from an infinite canvas of chaos.

Genesis is describing order arising from chaos, and there is something making a selection. We can call it, the natural selector.
>>
Moses means "drawn out of water"
Water is chaos.
Moses is the dichotomy of options, floating down a river, looking to be selected.
Jesus is the manifestation of this selection process.
Jesus is body of natural selection.
The way, the truth, and the life.

Similar to Moses, Romulus and Remus are also a dichotomy, floating down a river in a basket, looking for a tree. In their story, one half of the dichotomy must be destroyed in order to found a great kingdom. Its the same selection process described in Genesis.

>origin of man and the world?
In this context the "world" refers to a man-made system of reasoning (subjective reality), distinct from God’s divine will (objective reality). The goal is to get our subjective reality to align with objective reality.

There also weren't any christians who knew jupiter had moons before they invented telescopes what's your point?
>>
>>18452459
>Moses means "drawn out of water"
Yes because he was found floating in a basket
Not because we wuz water lizards who became monkeys who became humans
>>
>>18452602
Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written
>>
>>18452393
That's wrong.
Darwin explained how it happened. Evolution was already gaining a lot of traction previously.
