Is Chinese communism even communism, since Mao included petite bourgeoise and "nationally conscious" big bourgeoise in his struggle since his inception.Seems like he borrowed something from the class collaboration meme from fascism.
Who gives a shit? Why are there so many Wumao on this board in particular trying to make it their safe space?
>>18456304Almost unbelievably, the recent history of the ascendant world power is currently of great interest to many people.
>>18456301It's fascism but the Chinese can't call it that because then the West would shit their pants. But the west doesn't call it that either. They refer to China as capitalist because it's easier than saying that a competing communist country isn't actively collapsing in realtime.
>>18456301Paul Mattick had a theory that the Bolshevik and Chinese revolutions were capitalist revolutions, but because the liberal class of these nations were so weak and servile, modernisers had to rely on mass participation instead, and communism was the ideology they settled on to rouse the masses. The main reason I tend to think this is that these two revolutions very clearly took place where a liberal revolution would have taken place in an alternate world where the liberals actually had any balls.
>>18456549The Bolsheviks overthrew a fledgling liberal democracy
>>18456549This is an absolutely epic take if you completely ignore the entire history of Lenin and Mao's writings and study of Marx.
>>18456592Absolutely not. If the Kerensky Offensive hadn't taken place and failed Lenin wouldn't probably wouldn't even have a wikipedia page.
