related, I've never seen a good answer for what response the USSR should have had to Germany's Polish plans. Should they have said "no thanks, please take all of it for yourself and then camp on our border"?
Also, it seems to go unmentioned that Germany and USSR were just getting back what they had lost in Versailles, Poland had been missing for ~140 years.
