Red state public education must be something to behold

Here's an opposite from my miserable state
>traditionally have the longest name of any state, State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations from 1636 onward
>George Floyd dies
>all sort of performative changes happen
>including a ballot question to remove "Providence Plantations" from our state name because surely ALL uses of the word "plantation" must be connected with slavery and white supremacy
>we probably have the stupidest voter base in all of New England with the fewest critical thinking skills
>we are now merely the State of Rhode Island
>because of a killing that was very likely premeditated between two scumbags
>in a state 1,500 miles away
Massachusetts has some of this lunacy too (women's issue-related cabinet member is a YWNBAW) but at least the people there are more intelligent than here and general QoL is better from less corruption and more pride in their state

red states all think public education is some librul conspearacee which is directly reflected in their academic benchmark scores.

What's really ironic is that even though "the providence plantations" doesn't have anything to do with slavery since plantation just meant colony/settlement, during the colonial period Rhode Island did actually have a lot of slavery and 80% of colonial American slave trade ships were financed by Newport merchants.
Here's an article on it

In fairness, even when not related to Slavery plantation has some shitty baggage. As in Ireland. Still retarded, though.

What goes on in Rhode Island? Why is it so Portuguese?

>Red states banned teaching fundamental science
>Blue states... took the name "plantations" away

What is a woman?
>>
>>18465535
I would support that
>>
>>18465553
Yeah there’s no tampons in the men’s room or prohibitions on misgendering, crazy right?
>>
>>18465592
You mean like your new name and pronouns?
>>
>>18465907
>that i’m a talking fish on legs is fundamental basedence
>that i’m not a woman is not
