The sense-reference distinction is imo a pretty suitable explanation for how it is that Muslims and Christians can talk of the same Abrahamic God while attributing separate characteristics to him. It feels like radical Orthobros and Radtrads are just being stubborn contrarians at this point. Either Jay Dyer is just too dumb to understand this pretty simple distinction of language, or maybe because he want to continue his bullshit about how the Catholic God and the Orthodox God are not the same which is just lol because of MUH PRESUPPOSITIONALISM
You’re a pretty disingenuous liberal papist, OP. Christians and muslims don’t talk of the same God, they talk about very different gods with nothing in common. My God is Triune. If your god is the same as a god which is not Triune, you worship a false god.
>>18468828well semiotic bullshit will never convince anyone that the christian god is the same as the goat fucking sand monkey god
>>18469246Nigga you are mentally ill. You've been shitting up every thread in the catalog all day.

>>18468959Tritheism violates the Old Testament. The Shema:>Deuteronomy 6:4:>"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."Do you reject the Old Testament? If so, based. If not, you have a problem. You can't have tritheism and the Old Testament. Perhaps you are worshipping a false god, not even the Demiurge/Yaldaboath/YHWH (the god of the Jews, of "Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob"), but a completely invented one created out of whole cloth by the "orthodox" Christians. That proof text from the Textus Receptus you find in the KJV? Not found in other more reliable manuscripts. 1 John 5:7–8 had the mention of Trinitarianism added by scribes after the 14th Century, to oppose the unitarians and other "heretics", the other mentions of Father/Son/Holy Spirit in the "Canonical" Bible don't say they are "one."
>>18469246>im gonna post semiotics for babies and use it to rationalize my shitty view
