What are good books that discuss early christianity, early heresies such as Arianism, and generally informs of that which is beyond the knowledge of a casual evangelical. I'm looking for a gift for a buddy.
>>18468952You may already know the bible. I have discovered I like the internet bible sites because you can see all the lines in the bible and their different translations side by side and it has been quite an experience understanding new things that I didn't before because of the wording and how much of the bible has archaeological support and even outside the bible concerning the different parts of the early books like the book of Judges and when it explains that the Jews have the same ancestors that we all have after all in that they adopted different Gods from the surrounding nations. They were originally pagan which explains why anyone would have ever written Genesis and Exodus in the manner they did teaching that there was now only one God and they were not allowed to have idols anymore. All along there have been Jews acting like the shepherds to their people that keep falling back to pagan practices through-out the bible all the way to the end in the book of Revelations where it is written the Jews who are not Jews but of the synagogue of Satan and the altar of Zeus at Pergamon as being the throne of Satan. You would be labeled a satanist or demon worshiper or apostate if these teachings in these books that make up the bible are not practiced or observed.
