why is the idea of ethics being subjective seen as such a scary and impossible thing? it doesn’t require one being an edgelord, a criminal, a god hating fool, whatever. literally all it means is that ethical questions are not truth-apt, but rather are based on various social standards and outcomes. that’s it. you can personally act in a way you believe is good and encourage others to do so, because the positive outcomes benefit everyone involved. but you also don’t have to cling to ethical assumptions that are illogical and based on unverifiable nonsense either.
