Should I convert to Orthodox Christianity?

And it's important to distinguish between ethnic parishes and the Orthodox Church of America (OCA) which is tailor made for the unique historical situation of western converts somewhat by accident. There's no shortage of evil people who will try and demoralize or upset potential converts by using their ethnic identity against them (although bear in mind they don't care what you believe as long as you're not Christian), but being in America in the 21st century as a white western convert is probably one of the best and the most historically interesting times to be Orthodox
