The Jews didn't go for it because there was no real practical reason. The Jewish priesthood would lose power and authenticity and the Goyim priests would be incapable of even beginning to reconcile the contradictions (seeing as how they knew 0 about Judaism and lacked the ability to even read Hebrew).

Jesus' given name was Gaia-Zeus because his father was Juba II.
He is described as "Chrestos" because the word in its original Bithynian meaning is "capable/usable" and refers to Jesus being raised as a scholar/physician of the Essenes as opposed to a political pawn like his brother Ptolemy of Mauretania.
Juba II was known by his contemporaries as "Rex Literatissimus",- which also perfectly fits with Jesus being described as the "Logos". The Massylii lineage were long-time friends of Bithynia, which is why Caesar & Octavian adopted Juba II into their family instead of killing him or placing him with some irrelevant family or general to be a puppet.
Juba II married Glaphyra, the widow of Alexander Herod, in order to protect her. But then Herod Archelaus forced her to divorce Juba II by holding her children hostage in order to marry himself instead. Her son with Alexander, Tigranes,- denounced Judaism, his Herodian & Hasmonean claims and became the king of Armenia, which of course converted to Christianity as it was founded by Tigranes' stepbrother Gaia-Zeus aka Jesus. But more seriously, the more syncretic Hellenized currents of Judaism just joined the Pagans while the ones who stuck to orthodoxy remained Jewish. So the surviving strains of Judaism are bound to be the least hellenized ones.
