Nearly everywhere the crime of usury has become so firmly rooted that many, omitting other business, practise usury as if it were permitted, and in no way observe how it is forbidden in both the Old and New Testament. We therefore declare thatnotorioususurersshould not be admitted to communion of the altar or receive christian burial if they die in this sin. Whoever receives them or gives them christian burial should be compelled to give back what he has received, and let him remain suspended from the performance of his office until he has made satisfaction according to the judgment of his own bishop.
>>18474395Why should he? The Pope has borrowed from the Rothschilds in the past you know?
>>18474398>The Pope has borrowed from the Rothschilds in the past you know?More reason to remove debt lol
>>18474395>[x] are too sinful for communion!Isn't this literally a heresy?
>>18474415No, have you ever even been to a Mass? You cannot be in a state of mortal sin and receive the sacraments. Persistent sin can without a doubt justify excommunication, and certain sins like abortion require bishops to forgive you.
>>18474417Are you gonna interrogate anyone trying to take communion? Look into their papers? How you gonna make sure someone isn't giving communion to an usurer?
>>18474425Why do you think the OP says notorious? Besides, almost everyone today is guilty of usury, either taking or paying interest.>We therefore declare that notorious usurers should not be admitted to communion of the altarWhen I was an altar server I often denied people I knew were not baptized from receiving because it would be a serious act of desecration on my part. The priest, of course, would say that you had to be in good standing. I made sure that he didn't offer it to someone who was unworthy. And you should act that way. People take the sacraments too lightly, it was one of the reasons I started asking so many questions and why I eventually deconstructed. It's hard to care when no one, not even the Pope, does.
>>18474425>Are you gonna interrogate anyone trying to take communion?Save in the case of the publicly notorious sinner, the responsibility for worthy reception rests entirely upon the communicant. To receive the Eucharist while in mortal sin is an act of grave sacrilege since the object profaned is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord Himself. Far from relieving the guilt of prior mortal sin, unworthy reception compounds it and deepens the soul's rupture from Christ.>"Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord."1 Corinthians 11:27>>18474430>It's hard to care when no one, not even the Pope, does.Christ cares. And at the hour of our death, that's all that matters.
>>18474395You got a savings account anon? Your grandparents have a pension fund? Whoops you're all off to hell for usury! :)In before hours of squirming that actually it means EXCESSIVE interest. No, it's any interest at all. Eat shit and burn in hell usurer!
>>18474430>Think he can say who is worth and who is notYou're gonna scream and scream and scream :)
