And vice versa.

Happens all the time anon. The oppressed learns the devices of oppression through the oppressor.

They weren't oppressed, though. The Romans didn't conquer much Germanic territory. They were just neighboring peoples in a near constant power struggle that the Romans tended to have the upper hand in until one day they didn't. Which is where the respect comes from. They were worthy rivals.

Is raiding a city considered conquered in history? Because in my mind is actually taking control of a region and treat it as an additional province

>Which is where the respect comes from
Romans didn't respect them. "Oppression" is just a cool buzzword yk what I meant
>>

Rome hired a bunch of germanic mercs to patrol the borders
Then said germanics got romanized
Rome then fell to a bunch of romanized germanics
Then a bunch of further romanized germanics murdered a bunch of pagan germanics
At that point does it really matter? It was mostly germanics killing each other like always anyway

There theory that Dido's dynasty was overthrown by traitorous punic republicans and "goblin" priest for trying to stop child sacrifice

Germans enjoy getting killed.

>Romans in germanic lands
>"We finaly subdued these barbaric retards , these mudhut dwellers have nothing of worth to offer, time to civilize them into to proper people"
>Germs in roman lands
>" We are actualy Rome 2.0 ,we are going to adopt their customs, laws, institutions and religion then proceded to larp as roman for the Next 1500 years"
Notice a diference?

Yes, the germans are still around.

>Romans killed and enslaved billions of Gauls, Iberians, and Greeks.
>They identify with them and start to speak their language
What caused this?
