They transformed a feudal shithole into a country that sent humans to space and everyone had a home to live in and a job. Oh, and the mere threat of what they had going on forced western countries to implement welfare states. They were a superior civilization and those who celebrate their demise are literal cucks.

I miss the USSR so fucking much.
>>
They sucked at producing and allocating consumer goods, culture, and entertainment, which proved too strong a lure. People really wanted to own a guitar and blue jeans.
>>
>They transformed a feudal shithole
At gunpoint. You left that bit out. That's why they ultimately are a failure. Now, it's left to Trump to mop up their mess, your welfare systems forced upon us, also at gunpoint.

by 'they' you mean the 300,000 American specialists imported who almost launched a coup and cowed Stalin in letting them stay anyway.

Soviets are weak, Americans built their country.
The US shipped over 1500 factories to the USSR.
in 1920 the USSR had less than 90 factories, by 1950 they had 2000.
The US was 90% of that.

No, it's a way to describe public housing. They did have jails too, of course.

They also threw millions into prison labor camps. And starved millions of others in attempted genocide.

The USSR was a bit of a feudal shithole itself, sure, a modernized Feudal shithole. But feudal nonetheless.
And I mean feudal structurally speaking, not in the pop sense. I'm not even sure Tsarist Russia is feudal on either of those senses, anyway.

complete historical illiteracy
you realize western europe also had its bourgeoisie violently overthrow its feudal class too, right? the aristocrats didn't just voluntarily give up all their power and privilege to uppity merchants

We're talking about the Soviet Union, not America.

>I'm not even sure Tsarist Russia is feudal on either of those senses, anyway.
that depends on which period of tsarist russia you're talking about. but at the turn of the 19th century, tasrist russia was already moving away from a feudal society and slowly industrializing already. the soviet union undid all that progress and installed a caste system even more rigid than what was in tsarist russia.

Come.on, people act like it was 1700s. Russia was behind but not as behind as say Ethiopia or Korea during the same time period.

Tell me more about this, Dmitry.

The industrialization of the United States between 1780-1930 was just as horrific as anywhere else. Child labor, slaves, exploited poorfag migrants, rich barons killing/intimidating people for land titles, natives being displaced to build more rail... etc.

But it was so long ago that Americans can just pretend it never happened that way.

in 1917, they owned a small strip of land between Moscow and Leningrad
in 1960, almost half of the globe lived under communist ideology

the rich traders (meshyane) living in cities, legally, were a distinct social class from the aristocracy (dvoryane). while it wasn't cheap, they could definitely buy themselves an aristrocratic title. you could also get an aristocratic status through government service (this includes serving in the military and also being promoted as a clerk at some government administrative position)
before the abolition of serfdom in the 1860s, serfs could "buy themselves out of serfdom". it wasn't a common occurence but it was a real phenomenon and even was legally codified (for example the "Free agriculturalist" act of 1803)
this is not to say that tsarist russia was super democractic or that social mobility in that society was easy/common, but it was possible, even legally.
In the USSR however, the "nomenklatura" was completely isolated from the rest of the populace in every possible way (which you probably already know and understand). there was essentially no contact between the soviet "elites" and the average soviet citizen that would allow for any meaningful social mobility. legally these "caste" systems didn't exist, but the soviet union is not exactly known for a consistent and functional rule of law, given how all of soviet legislature was in direct contradiciton with the many constitutions of the USSR
>>
>>18480569
but the big push for industrialization already began under the zarist regime
>>
>>18480569
Eastern Europe has clearly shown to be much better off without it.

>>18480569
If the people have no will, then this will be logical.
>>

now imagine what russia would have become, if it had become a normal democrat country like finland or baltics. Especiallyt the baltics came from basically slavery in to nation states where russians went from slavery to communism. Russia could be a scandinavia level country. maybe even norway, with all the resources it has. just much larger.

>wars, famines and dictatorships
All of these were due to a post-war population explosion caused by capitalism's abundant food and medicine. The third world was flooded with brown and yellow people who would not have existed past their infancy under previous, constrained production. It was decades before an inevitable adjustment set in.

>>18482485

You're a subhuman.

This is not even remotely true, no matter how much commies try to spin it. Russia was by far the fastest industrializing country in the world prior to WW1

Turd Worlders breed beyond their capacity to manage or even feed themselves. Then they turn to the West to survive and then kill the soldiers who protect the food. You know this, or you should... unfortunately, you sound naive and gullible.
