>Far-right>Nationalist>Authoritarian>Anti-communist>MilitaristicWhy was Metaxas and Salazar never regarded as fascists?
>>18482088their regimes lacked a revolutionary ideology and a mass political party
>>18482092>revolutionary ideology>mass political partyCan you be more specific?
>>184820881970s era Greece absolutely was Fascist. They were forced to be as a Bulwark against the socialist states surrounding them.
Because they helped the Allies against the other fascists
>>18482099Being anti-communist isnt enough to be defined as fascist. USA was more anti-communist in the 1970s.Also Metaxas was in the 1930sAnd he wasnt considered a fascist then nor by historians today.
>>18482092fascists are counterrevolutionary moron
>>18482101It's an interesting observation that both Portugal and Greece were pro-allies despite being Mussolini-lite in their regimes.Basically 'fascist' may have been 'anyone who isnt with us'.
Becuase they werent collectivists. And you need to be a collectivist to be a fascist. It's the whole reason why every fascist banner has the colour red in it.Hence why fascists had more in common with the far-left autocracy than the far-right ones.
>>18482088I have a better question: Count me 3 politically right wing dictatorships, monarchies or republics that do not fullfill these criterias. Because that list of yours has been the status quo of humanity (anti-communism obviously did not exist as a defined ideological cornerstone, but the values communism exhibits were frowned upon) until the Age of enlightement.
>>18482153Nationalism, right-wing and communism didnt exist until the 1800.It wasnt until the French Revolution that the idea of 'citizenship' would replace the estates of serfs, nobility and clergy etc. That 'State' would replace the court.Even yet, it wasnt until the 1848 revolution wave that the modern nationstate began to emerge in earnest, and thus nationalism.Socialism as an ideology began taking form around this time as well since people were no longer serfs but social classes. Peasants moved from the countryside to work in the cities, often living in squalor, working long hours under extreme conditions for very litte pay and even less protection, while others (the bourgeoisie) were making a fortune.Which is ironic since it was the bourgeoisie which had originally challenged the nobility over the traditional supressive medieval system. My point is that if we're going to use history a reference, it's only reasonable that we start somewhere in the mid-1800.
>>18482088Brown Greek and Armenian fascists were defeated by White European Turkish Aryans, saving European civilization forever.
>>18482105Just the opposite. Fascists are the only revolutionaries.
>>18482186Armenia was never fascist tho. It was a Soviet republic
>>18482186>Turkisha jew with his kurdish soviet gold funded goons*Anatolians welcomed the liberating greek army
