What do Christian thinkers and theorists mean when they say "Christian/biblical patriarchy"? Is it a different kind of patriarchy, say, from the patriarchy of the ancient world? What differentiates a Christian patriarchy from a "non-Christian" patriarchy? I can't help but think of an argument from proponents of complementarianism extending to Islam or Roman pater familias and their abuses, or something like that. Please enlighten me.
