My biggest fear of years of drawing and still stagnant appeared in front. How do I avoid this sort of thing? I haven't drawn stuff in a long while and I want to get back on my feet
Not to be rude for OP ofc, he's being consistent at least.
>>838183There is visible improvement here though, I wouldn't call it stagnation at all. Improvement is slow and gradual, you go at your own pace. Drawing daily and trying to do studies may help you, ruts are hard to break out of
>>838183There is no stagnation here.>obviously improvement in eye shape and structure >Advanced to foreshortening and drawing the torso>Better hair structure >Better understanding of facial placement (the eye is just too big)I understand people are scared of “taking too long” to grow, but there is no time limit. People grow at different paces. If you start with learning stylized art, your art will have a funky period because that’s what stylization is: breaking basic anatomy. The same happens when you switch styles.>I haven't drawn stuff in a long while and I want to get back on my feetThe best thing about being an artist is that you have muscle memory. Just start drawing something to warm up. Doesn’t have to be anything in particular. When you start to feel more confident, try drawing your favorite character.
