>try this book out>get to the part where it says "at this point you should be thoroughly satisfied with how you draw your hand" >my drawings are still pisspoor despite following the instructions>get deeply demotivated Fuck whoever made this.
>demotivatedDo you know how hard it is to learn how to draw? You have to adopt a mindset of "I'm going to figure this out no matter what", check out five books from the library, and study this shit on your free time like your life depends on it. Any one book only has a few things to teach. Almost every book is 90% trash. Also, videos are better teachers than books, and actual tutors are the best teachers of all. If you can afford a tutor, swallow your pride and hire one.

>>7710527i dont remember how that book "instructs" you to draw but 90% of the time, the solution is just measure more
>>7710527I just finished the book last week and my two worst pieces were the hand drawing and the shading one, but everything else was pretty good. Just finish the book and take a note of your weak points that require extra study. What kind of adult are you if you give up the moment things get hard?
>>7710527You didn't make a viewfinder, did you? It's impossible to for your "after" to not be better than your "before" if you used one so I can safely assume you didn't
>>7710527oh, you're one of those people that was the target audience of the workbook that was published later
>>7710527howd i do?
Whenever an art instruction book uses anything other than the author's own artwork as the cover, you can be near 100% sure it's a worthless pile of crap.
>>7712826Not bad, not bad. Eyes a bit too large. Her left pupil so go all the way to the edge of her eye. You forgot her subtle muzzle. Her eyebrows should be much lighter. Her lips should be thinner. She should look less cute overall. But better than I could do, no doubt.
