How do you even make money as an SFW artist these days? No one commissions me no matter how hard I shill myself, and my portfolio covers portraits and character illustrations. I'm not even bad, am I genuinely left to rot after investing years into this shit?
If you insist on SFW art, can't you just offer Portraits to your immediate neighborhood? Coworker? idk. Seems like Marketing issue to me.

But desu I doubt a background would change anything, especially considering it's just additional cost and it doesn't make the character itself juicier. No 3D either, again not my thing.
