I don't like the modern internet, schizos, everything being fed into AI, shitty algorithms promoting slop, porn everywhere, we could go on forever. How do I disconnect myself from all this noise while keeping myself committed to digital art?

You can be a kooky weirdo and go off the grid, use the PC with no Internet. Or you could just control what kind of things you consume.
I say be a kooky weirdo
>>
Who are you fooling? You're using the internet to ask this question.

shut off your wifi router

You're right, I should ask non-artists about digital art instead, makes sense

there's little point to making art that can't be shared with anyone
>>

You should be making art for yourself.

Just study and analyze the works of other professional artists; deepen that bag of tricks of yours. You don't have to share it.

It's really hard to unplug from the internet without picking up collateral bad habits
I tried to quit the internet. Was good for a while then I started smoking again and when I tried to quit smoking I got back online. Now I have to quit the internet as well as smoking and I think I have bronchitis if it's not cancer.
I don't even care about the pain it's just that it makes life more difficult when I'm already so tired mentally and physically. I just wanna go away

I feel you brother, the internet has become much much worse over the span of just 5 years, now there were unpalatabilities before that, but 2020 is when the enshittification of the internet really took a noticeable nosedive.

Unfortunately I don't really see a solution, we just gotta ride out the storm man, resist until it's over. Hang in there we're in this together, I'll see you on the other side, for now cocoon and keep working on your art, when the blizzard has finished you will know

like most anons are saying: just detach yourself from social media. delete all of your accounts, breathe, start over or pick your style back up. don't post digital work. do some things on paper or a different medium. show people what you are comfortable with, and trust. word of mouth can be a powerful thing. you might see that making a comeback after the internet blows over and social media dies as a whole. it has poisoned enough people that i feel it has run its course of destruction.
t. someone who never touched the social media scene and hid since y2k.

too much stealing, shaming, bullying, etc. go out and watch nature, draw some birds or some cool shit. or take pictures and use those for references to bolster skills that aren't just copying anime or liking and sharing other people's works. good luck in your journey.
