That's how Akira Toriyama for example decided to make Goku's hair simple and spikey, because it was a good way to draw it fast.

all that matters is how deliberate your drawing was. He obviously drew all those children in a stylized way, he wasn't attempting realism. That's the difference between beg and int. A beg doesn't know what the drawing is going to look like when they're finished, and you can feel that in the art when you look at it. People who just hide their shitty form behind tons of filters and effects, or who clearly traced something they had difficutly with. It makes it look like they're still learning and suck.
