For me, its the middle one of the upper row.

it's so obvious that all of these were drawn by the same adult.

Bottom row children understand you need to start with a gesture to establish weight and motion. They're unironically gmi. The top row think they can just rendering the figure straight up without any prep. That's the kind of retardation that happens when a child doesn't get their doctor recommended three hours of TV a day

I remember this time in my life
I was a pretty ignored kid so, I watched like 3 to 4 hours of tv a day at least and my drawings looked like the ones at the bottom. I remember seeing drawings like the one at the top and thinking those are unnecessary detail and took away from any sort of Uniform style you should be drawing

Sauce?
Because I don't buy it.

i really wonder how much of this disparity is caused by literal developmental brainrot (which we know is a thing, and the younger you are the harder it hits you), and how much of it is just the simple fact that television as an artistic medium moves too fast for aspiring artists to carefully study details, especially with so many frames being wonky stretch frames, establishing shots, or face-only. you can't really get a good look at a character and all of the bright colors on the screen melt together, so TV kids focus less on details.

if you gave the kids a frame-by-frame pause button and told them to draw what they see, i wonder if that would be just as effective as reading references from an illustrated kids book.

>proves there is no such thing as talent
When I was 8, I created a comic strip for school, the entire class, including the teacher, praised my art skills and one guy even said that I'm talented, the kicker?
I just traced a bunch of comics, not even an adult could see thru my "talent" lmao.
I have no doubt that many talented kids just traced stuff and got away with it.
