To address this, start with broad strokes, gripping the pencil higher up to capture the overall shape first, and only use light pressure until you have fully constructed the figure. For your next drawing, try using only straight lines at first to prioritize form construction.While your alignments aren't terrible, they do need work, particularly in how they're represented in later stages; remember to construct with alignment and form in mind. If you learn by doing, try a short rendering exercise using simple shadow shapes to better understand the turning of form (the change from one plane to the next). This will help inform your line decisions in future by making you aware of extraneous outlines (like those around lips, hair, or eyes) that disrupt the form as lines but should rather be considered for rendering only. Be very light with the pencil during this exercise, as the goal is simply to understand form, not to make it look realistic.
