It sucks.The best thing to do from now on is to keep your interests away from coworkers because coworkers are not your friends or family. You can be friendly with them but it’s not the same as being friends. STEM jobs usually have the least backlash. I am in IT and my coworker comes into work with a furry con hoodie almost everyday and no one bats an eye.
